Nishi jewelry is a fine jewelry brand founded in New York City by jewelry designer Joanna Bengoa. 

Born in Tokyo and raised between Spain and Japan, Joanna loved creating things with her hands from a young age. She discovered metalsmithing while attending NYU and fell in love with the process of making pieces that could carry one's memories and stand the test of time.   

After a stint in the corporate world in her early 20's, Joanna launched her collection and named it after her Japanese surname, Nishi. To extend her knowledge in diamonds and precious stones and to better serve her clients, she received her gemology degree from GIA. 

Every piece is designed and handmade by Joanna with the support of a handful of jewelers in NYC and Philadelphia, keeping production local and mindful of the impact on the environment.
